Celebrate World CLT Day!

  • First Church In Roxbury 10 Putnam Street Boston, MA, 02119 United States (map)

Join us for a free community gathering with short films, food & art celebrating World CLT Day! Come learn about the movement for community control of land from its roots in Georgia during the civil rights era to our local work across Greater Boston today.

Please bring an item from your land trust, neighborhood, or home to incorporate into our collective altar. In collaboration with a local artist, we will build an altar intended to honor the past, present, and future of the land on which our community land trusts stand. You are invited to bring something that represents your hopes, memories, or connection to the land to add to the altar and, weather permitting, make a live print with the item. Local artists from Humphreys Street Studio will also share their work and the story of this unique artist-owned and run studio space which contributes to the cultural vitality of Dorchester.

Email Michelle at mdelima@dsni.org with any questions or 617-442-9670.

ALSO: Chinatown Community Land Trust is hosting day two of the network’s World CLT Day celebration, with a dim sum reception and guided tour or scavenger hunt. For more info click here. You are invited!
